INSPIRED BY DIFFERENCE.

Aspiring pediatric dental hygienist with a demonstrated history in studying how to trouble shoot problems that arise in the work place, how to handle children and family problems, and how to work as a team in order to give someone their best experience.
Hello everyone! My name is Samantha Lawrence and I am a rising senior studying at the University of Alabama. My major is Human Environmental Science, with concentrations in the medical field. I hope to one day be a pediatric dental hygienist so I can make a difference in children’s lives and make health exciting for younger children and other patients.

ARTIFACTS.

Within this link, you will find a paper I wrote in my Advanced Digital Tools class. It discusses the different tools available for businesses to use in remote settings so that connectivity and productivity is still the number one asset.
This link includes a brochure that emphasizes the understanding of stress management. Within this brochure I discussed the science behind the effects of stress on the mind and body and how stress can affect the public health aspect.
Within this link you will find a paper I wrote for my personal health class. You will find summaries and analysis’s I made about fitness articles pertaining to ideas surrounding how to make American’s lives more healthy, the benefits of exercise on the body and mentality, and how the importance of fitness and health affects our lives overall.

I have had a different college experience because for all my four years in college I have attended Bama By Distance. Doing my schooling this way has allowed me to gain experience in the fields that I love. I have had the opportunity to take classes in numerous different fields such as Human Development, Nutrition, Consumer Management, and HHE courses while putting that knowledge into real-world experiences that have prepared me for my future endeavors. In these courses, I have learned how to be a team, troubleshoot problems in the workplace, and information on health-related topics that are important for my research.

PROFESSSIONAL ASPIRATIONS.

RESULTS DRIVEN.

I have always wanted to work with children and make a difference in their lives. Whether that be as a teacher or as a medical professional, I knew that I was going to go down that path. To do this, I have majored in human environmental sciences and focused on classes majored in health and human development. Through this, I have been able to work in daycares with children ages 12 months-4 years as well as intern and shadow in a dentist’s office.

FUTURE PROFESSIONAL ASPIRATIONS.

In the coming years, I hope to continue my understanding of this by attending dental hygiene school in Nashville, TN and specialize in a pediatric dental office. In continuation I plan to one day possibly go to dental school to further my dreams of helping others.
